Growing up, Claire's creativity was encouraged by a musical
father and artistic mother and cultivated at the San Diego School of Creative
and Performing Arts. Her high school years were spent in a remote valley in northwest
Maui, where pristine surroundings -- coupled with a rustic life (no electricity!)
-- enabled Claire to create art with much inspiration and little distraction.
Claire graduated from the University of Hawai'i - Manoa
in 1997, earning a B.F.A. in Drawing/Painting, with High Honors. During this
time, her passion was the creation of fresh and expressive Biblical paintings,
including a commissioned piece based on Psalm 143:8, for the Women's Health Clinic
at UH - Manoa. Her other works also appeared in several student exhibits, including
a solo gallery exhibit of her large-scale thesis works, entitled Parables.
Since then, Claire has worked primarily as a graphic artist,
and her paintings have appeared in juried shows and private collections across
the nation. She has also been involved in other various forms of art, including
music and dance.
Claire has enjoyed exploring her Jewish heritage via the
creation of her ketubah works, and this inspiration has refreshed her desire
to draw and paint. She is deeply thankful to God for the privilege to share her
art. Claire currently resides in Vancouver, B.C. where she is working toward
a M.C.S. with an emphasis in the arts, from Regent College.
