This painting symbolizes the beautiful Jewish traditions that have been nourished in my own marriage. I have found that the beauty of our heritage is enhanced greatly within the context of a loving relationship. The fruit and pomegranate represent the beauty of love and the promise of many years of shared happiness. The grapes, wine glasses, Shabbat candles, Shabbat tablecloth and prayer shawl represent the many beautiful Jewish traditions that can be shared within a marriage. It is my hope that the couple choosing this painting for their ketubah will be able to bask in the warmth of their love and our wonderful traditions.
