MP Artworks Co-Owner and Founding Artist Micah Parker
has been creating ketubot (wedding contracts) since the early 1990s.
Although
he initially created ketubah designs locally for friends, Micah launched Micah Parker
Artworks in 1996, with the help of his soon-to-be-wife, Mindy. He was one
of the first artists to offer his ketubot on the Internet, along with his line
of Jewish life-cycle certificates and Judaica, at MicahParkerArtworks.com. (A site that is now his personal portfolio.)
In 1999, Micah and Mindy were married and realized -- even
more -- how important it was for couples to find wedding items that reflected
their own unique tastes. They experienced first-hand how every couple wants “their”
wedding, “their” ketubah and “their” chuppah to be “special”
-- and not just like what everyone else has.
As the business expanded, Micah felt the need to focus each
product line to offer unique – yet affordable – items, and in 1999,
e-ketubah (the predecessor to today’s ketubah STUDIO)
was born along with e-chuppah.
Fast-forward to 2006: We at MP Artworks have been around for 10 years and, in the process, expanded to
showcase more than 170 works by a select group of artists, including Micah.
Now, with the launch of this redesigned Web site –
which houses all of our ketubah, chuppah, Judaica and fine art product lines – we believe MP Artworks offers
the most distinctive collection of Judaic fine art on or off the Internet.
