This piece uses bold colors to convey a powerful image of an even more powerful emotion -- love. The word "love" circles clockwise within the heart shape in the center of the piece, just as love can at times turn round in a person's actual heart. The Hebrew word for love, "ahavah," circles within the heart counter-clockwise since the Hebrew language is read from right to left. The colors of the heart are warm which represents the passion found within it, while the colors outside the heart are cool and grow darker as they are further removed.

While Micah Parker may be best known, in some circles, for his ketubah works, his full portfolio adds another dimension to a growing reputation ? that of an artist who displays a commanding grasp of numerous and far-flung styles.
His broad repertoire is inspired by the array of artistic styles he appreciates as a viewer: Claude Monet?s sun-dappled impressionism, Vincent van Gogh?s exaggerated reality, Henri Matisse?s vivid modernism, M.C. Escher?s tweaking of perceptions, Theodore Geisel?s whimsicality and Romero Britto?s pop culture-infused cubism.
These preferences manifest themselves in his work.
