About Sakura PensMP Artworks is pleased to offer gel pens made by Sakura, a prominent, Japan-based
manufacturer of fine art supplies.
The Gelly Roll line
is labeled "archival," which means they are permanent, durable and
chemically stable. Because of this, they are among the types of pens we recommend
for signing and filling in our ketubot.
[You should always TEST pens and their inks before using them to sign or fill in a ketubah.]
Pigment-based: Sakura uses one or two pigments to color its inks, which both enhances their stability and decreases the likelihood of pigment separation due to age or exposure to outside elements.
Light-fast: Because they are pigment-based, Sakura inks retain their color over time and/or when exposed to light, heat and other conditions.
Neutral pH: The inks dry to a neutral pH and will not adversely react with the materials to which they are applied.
Permanent: Sakura’s Pigma inks – which are featured in
the Gelly Roll product line – are
permanent, waterproof, chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant on paper
and many fabrics.
